My thesis research and film focus on the word “revolve,” the act of moving in a circle on a central axis. My research will explore the notion of revolving from the mental feeling of being stuck to the sensation of rotating in one spot, specifically as it relates to the 2020 pandemic. This work is a personal manifestation of what it feels like to live in quarantine as conflicts arise, while I literally orbit around the present moment, allowing myself to express future possibilities of being. My goal for this work is to successfully walk horizontally on a wall while embodying the physical feat of exceeding the limitations of the body, which I refer to as the superhuman body, that blends ideas of fantasy and reality into one.
