Project Statement
My project is a moving journal, an interactive experience, working with the themes of absence and loss where I focus on how each individual is significant and leaves their own legacy behind. I work with this idea that I describe as the phantom body, where the essence of the individual may not be tangible but is felt. I am interested in how the individual can understand oneself and feel more present through the lingering absence of another.
