YOAKE
-sunrise and opening of the world-
This ritual aims to guide both the practitioner and the viewers to find hope from a state of depression. I want to help create a brighter, colorful, and positive space in the audience’s mind and soul. In constructing this practice, I explored how to find light out of darkness and how different Japanese rituals might merge together to create lightness, hope, and deeper self-reflection.
