(IN)SPACE IS A UNIQUE REFLECTION OF WHO WE ARE (IN)SPACE AND HOW WE NEGOTIATE (IN)SPACE. NO ONE COULD HAVE PREDICTED THE UNPRECEDENTED VIRUS AND SHUTTING DOWN OF THE WORLD. YET IT MAKES THIS WORK THAT MUCH CLEARER. THE FIRST SECTION, SPACE TO BE ME PLEASE?, IS ABOUT WOMAN EMPOWERMENT. WHO WE ARE IN ANY SPACE IS INVALUABLY IMPORTANT TO OUR ARTISTRY. WITHOUT IDENTITY, WE ARE AN UNRECOGNIZABLE VOICE IN A CHOIR CALLED THE HUMAN RACE. A COLORLESS GRAIN OF SAND. THIS WORKS CHALLENGES THE NOTION THAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK OR MOVE EXACTLY LIKE ANOTHER WOMAN TO HAVE VALUE. YOUR VALUE IS YOUR UNAPOLOGETIC SELF-ACCEPTANCE. SOMETIMES WE NEED SPACE TO BE US. IN BETWEEN THE LINES, THE SECOND SECTION, AIMS AT WHAT IS HAPPENING (IN)SPACE THAT WE DON'T NOTICE RIGHT AWAY. THINGS AT SURFACE LEVEL SEEM FINE UNTIL YOU GO IN DEPTH BETWEEN THE LINES. WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING TO FIND OUR IDENTITY IN SPACES THAT REQUIRE US TO BE HOMOGENOUS. OUR STRUGGLES/HARDSHIPS TO BE WHO WE ARE INHERENTLY AND UNIQUELY DIFFERENT. YET, THROUGH UNITY, YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE OTHERS STORIES BETWEEN THE LINES IF YOU SO CHOOSE TO LOOK CLOSE ENOUGH.
